SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Penelope Faye Bryan-McQueen of Harvard, 
4who passed away on April 20, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen was born in Normal; her 
6parents were Dr. Fred and Leota (nee Nickerson) Bryan; she 
7married Coy McQueen on February 20, 1982; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen attended the University of 
9Illinois in Champaign, but was a lifelong learner; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen worked for Northwest 
11Airlines for 36 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen enjoyed traveling and 
13spending her time teaching in English as a Second Language 
14courses; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen was preceded in death by 
16her parents and a sister, Jacqueline Bryan; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen is survived by her 
18husband, Coy; 2 children, Emily McQueen (Kyle Stahl) and Molly 
19McQueen; a sister, Sara (Michael) Gile; and nieces and nephews,

1Bryan, Ashley, and Colin Gile; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Penelope Faye 
5Bryan-McQueen; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Penelope Bryan-McQueen as an 
8expression of our sympathy.
