| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Austra Treknais of Lakewood, who passed |
| 4 | | away on April 21, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Austra Treknais was born on March 29, 1909 in |
| 6 | | Latvia; her parents were Janis and Minna (nee Ivans) Birzins; |
| 7 | | she married Volderars Treknais; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Austra Treknais is survived by 2 daughters, Ruta |
| 9 | | Treknais and Dace (Arthur) Kulans; her grandchildren, Laura |
| 10 | | (Blake) Coblentz, Andra Kulans, and Arthur (Kendra) Kulans; and |
| 11 | | her great-grandchildren, William, Jacob, Aleksander, Karter, |
| 12 | | and Maks; therefore, be it
|
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
| 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
| 15 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Austra Treknais; and |
| 16 | | be it further

| 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 18 | | presented to the family of Austra Treknais as an expression of |
| 19 | | our sympathy.
