SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Monica A. Salemi of Spring Grove, who 
4passed away on April 20, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Monica Salemi was born in Chicago on September 17, 
61954 to Louis and Rita (nee Ronkowski) Borowski; she married 
7Steven A. Salemi in Chicago on January 3, 1975; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Monica Salemi was the former owner of Cooper 
9Kiddie College in McHenry; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Monica Salemi was a member of St. Mary Catholic 
11Church in McHenry; she was a wonderful cook and enjoyed 
12fishing, swimming, spending time with family, and spending 
13summers at Woodruff, Wisconsin; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Monica Salemi was preceded in death by her father, 
15Louis, and a sister, Laura; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Monica Salemi is survived by her husband of 39 
17years, Steven; 3 children, Ann Nicole (Jason) Dyer-Salemi, 
18Laura Salemi, and Matthew Salemi; a grandchild, Gianna Rae; her 
19mother, Rita (the late Kenneth) Jeschke; and a brother, Louis 
20(Stacey) Borowski; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Monica A. Salemi, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Monica Salemi as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
