SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia A. Nelson of Woodstock, who passed away on May 7, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Nelson was born in Woodstock on February 7, 1941 to Patrick J. and Catherine A. (nee Nolan) Murray; she married Richard J. Nelson on November 21, 1959 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hartland in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Nelson worked with the McHenry County Government Center for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Nelson had a passion for genealogy and was a member of the McHenry County Historical Society for many years; she enjoyed spending winters in Sarasota, Florida and summers in Milton, Wisconsin; she also loved spending time with family and friends, taking trips on a Harley, and playing games, especially Bingo; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Nelson was preceded in death by her parents, and by a brother, Thomas J. Murray; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Nelson is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Linda (Jim) Jahn, David (Debbie) Nelson, and Cindy (Peter) Lieser; grandchildren, Jason and Kristen Jahn, Carlee and Emma Lieser, Jens (Elyssa) Nelson, Katey (Justin) Kimbro, and Corrie, Glen, and Bruce Reiter; great-grandchildren, Layla Nelson, Riley Reiter, and Braxton and Kelan Kimbro; a brother, Michael (Ruth) Murray; a nephew, Michael T. Murray, Jr.; a niece, Marcia (James) Kalisik; and a great-nephew, Jacob Kalisik; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Patricia N. Nelson, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patricia Nelson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
