SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Marilyn Ruth (nee Kinder) Wigginton, who 
4passed away on June 10, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Marilyn Wigginton was born in East St. Louis on 
6July 30, 1939 to Joseph L. and Doris Kinder; she graduated from 
7East St. Louis High School in June of 1957, where she was 
8involved in the Latin Club, the Girls Advanced Chorus, the 
9Future Teachers of America, the Camera Club, and the school 
10newspaper; she married Robert "Benny" Wigginton in 1959; and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, Marilyn Wigginton was an avid reader; she enjoyed 
12having family gatherings around the pool and decorating for her 
132 favorite holidays, Christmas Eve and the Fourth of July; she 
14was an animal lover, rescuing stay cats and treating them just 
15like her prized Himalayans; she loved having bright colors 
16everywhere throughout her house; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Marilyn Wigginton was preceded in death by her 
18father, Joseph "Lynn" Kinder; her mother, Doris Kinder; and 
19daughters-in-law, Tammy Wigginton and Beth Wigginton; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Marilyn Wigginton is survived by her husband, 
21Robert "Benny" Wigginton; 3 sons, Robert "Robby", Stephen

1"Stevie" (Kathy), and Darrell "Derry" (Janis); and 
2grandchildren, Bobby, Stephanie, Nick, Dakota, Dylan, Jason, 
3and Miranda; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Marilyn Ruth Wigginton, and extend our sincere condolences to 
7her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Marilyn Wigginton as an expression 
11of our deepest sympathy.
