SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Steven Edwin Harvey of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on June 23, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Steven Harvey was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 
6August 16, 1958; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Steven Harvey retired from the Waukegan Police 
8Department in 2008 after 28 years of service as a Lieutenant; 
9he also worked security at Ravinia and Lakeshore Academy; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Steven Harvey was a member of the Waukegan 
11Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 and the Patriots Motorcycle 
12Club; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Steven Harvey's wife, Linda, also passed away on 
14June 23, 2014; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Steven Harvey is survived by his children, Mark 
16Harvey, Theresa Harvey, and Jennie Harvey; grandchildren, 
17Madelyn, Noel, Nicholas, Lucas, Josh, Angel, and Dominique; 
18parents, Morris and Irene Harvey; brothers and sisters, George, 
19Linda, and Mark Harvey; and nieces and nephews, Michelle 
20Schweizer, Sam, Quinn, Eliza, and Jessica Harvey; therefore, be

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Steven Edwin Harvey, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Steven Harvey as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
