|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of David Bailey of Pontiac, who passed away |
| 4 | | on August 4, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, David Bailey was a graduate of Pontiac Township |
| 6 | | High School and Illinois Wesleyan University; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, David Bailey served his country as a member of the |
| 8 | | United States Army in Korea and Japan from 1953 to 1955; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, David Bailey served with distinction as a member |
| 10 | | of the Livingston County Board from 1978 to 1998; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, David Bailey was a member of the First Baptist |
| 12 | | Church of Pontiac, where he served as a volunteer, specifically |
| 13 | | for the church's food pantry; he was also a longtime member of |
| 14 | | the Pontiac Elks Lodge; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
| 16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
| 17 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of David Bailey; and be |
| 18 | | it further
