| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of John F. Pretto of Vernon Hills, who |
| 4 | | passed away on August 19, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, John Pretto was born on July 29, 1926 in Crystal |
| 6 | | Falls, Michigan; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, John Pretto served as a member of the United |
| 8 | | States Marine Corps in the Pacific theatre during World War II; |
| 9 | | and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, John Pretto was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan |
| 11 | | and a member of the Local 56 Bricklayers Union; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, John Pretto is survived by his wife of 50 years, |
| 13 | | Anna (nee Doran); 3 children, John Pretto, Michael "Mikey" |
| 14 | | (Jennifer) Pretto, and Anji (William) Sims; a daughter-in-law, |
| 15 | | Jennifer; 5 grandchildren, Alexa, Ava, Anthony, Donald John |
| 16 | | "DJ", and Isabella "Bella", a sister, Carmen Nardi; and a |
| 17 | | brother, Donald Broskowitz; therefore, be it
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
| 19 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
| 20 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of John F. Pretto; and be |
