SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Carolyn J. Samaras of Danville, who 
4passed away on July 3, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Carolyn Samaras was born in Thayer on June 2, 1923 
6to J. Everett and Helen (nee Spencer) Brown; she married 
7Alexander G. Samaras on December 26, 1943 in Virden; and
  
 

  
8    WHEREAS, Carolyn Samaras was preceded in death by her 
9parents; one son, Paul Samaras; and one brother, Stuart Brown; 
10and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Carolyn Samaras is survived by her husband, 
12Alexander; 2 sons, David Samaras and Mark (Julie) Samaras; one 
13daughter, Nancy (Thomas) Fahey; one daughter-in-law, Anne 
14Samaras; 10 grandchildren, Trace (Sarah) Johnson, Catherine 
15(Kyle) Neumann, Georgianna Samaras, Christopher Samaras, 
16Rebecca LaPiana, Jennifer (Rich) Famiglietti, Christianne 
17(John Wood) Samaras, Alexander D. Samaras, Alexander P. 
18Samaras, and Carolyn (Mike) Austin; and 7 great-grandchildren, 
19Freddie Famiglietti, Sammy Famiglietti, Alexa LaPiana, Paige 
20Wood, Kaleb Neumann, Kamryn Neumann, and Zoe Austin; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Carolyn J. Samaras, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Carolyn Samaras as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
