| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Earl E. Smith of McHenry, who passed away |
| 4 | | on September 14 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Earl Smith was born in Effingham on May 2, 1938 to |
| 6 | | Oscar Earl and Allene (nee Engle) Smith; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Prior to retirement 7 years ago, Earl Smith was |
| 8 | | employed as a tool & die maker at Regency Die & Mold Company of |
| 9 | | Ingleside; after retirement, he was employed for nearly 4 years |
| 10 | | on a part-time basis at Meijer in McHenry, where he worked in |
| 11 | | the Garden Department; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Since living in McHenry, Earl Smith was a resident |
| 13 | | for the entire time in the West Shore Beach subdivision, where |
| 14 | | he was instrumental in improving and bringing his neighborhood |
| 15 | | together; he was active with the West Shore Beach Property |
| 16 | | Owners Association, serving on the Board of Directors as well |
| 17 | | as holding the office of President and Vice-President for |
| 18 | | several years; and |
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Earl Smith was an avid fisherman throughout his |
| 20 | | lifetime, and enjoyed boating when he was younger; he was a |
| 21 | | proud grandfather and loved to spend time with his family; he |
