SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Beverly Joyce Montgomery of Crystal Lake, 
4who passed away on September 17, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery was born on August 1, 1939 in 
6Woodstock; her parents were George and Marie Hollister; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery was a graduate of Harvard High 
8School; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery was employed at Arnold 
10Engineering in Marengo for many years; she was the founder of 
11Dundee Resale Shop, which she owned and operated for many 
12years; she also worked for Kmart in Woodstock, where she 
13retired in 2001; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery enjoyed spending time with her 
15family, playing bingo, computer games, and Wheel of Fortune; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery was preceded in death by a son, 
18Rory Montgomery; a brother, George Hollister; a sister, Ellen 
19Pippel; and her parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery is survived by her loving 
2husband of 55 years, Robert Montgomery; 3 children, Robert 
3Montgomery, Jr., Rhonda Guzy, and Rodney Montgomery; 4 
4grandchildren, Robert Montgomery, III, Amie and April Guzy, and 
5Corey Thompson; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Russell and 
6David Hollister; 2 sisters, Dorothy Berry and Diane Krause; and 
7her dear friend, Cheryl; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Beverly Joyce 
11Montgomery; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Beverly Montgomery as an expression 
14of our sympathy.
