SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Loran B. Gebhards of Springfield, who 
4passed away on October 24, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Loran Gebhards was born on January 14, 1922 in 
6Petersburg; his parents were Schwer Ben and Minnie Goetting 
7Gebhards; he married Rose Mary Lott on June 19, 1954 in 
8Springfield; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Loran Gebhards was a lifelong resident of Sangamon 
10and Menard Counties; he was a lifelong farmer; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Loran Gebhards was a former Trustee of the 
12Curran-Gardner Township Board of Trustees and a member of the 
13Sangamon County Farm Bureau Board of Directors for 12 years; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Loran Gebhards was an avid gardener; he also 
16enjoyed attending family functions; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Loran Gebhards was preceded in death by his wife, 
18Rose Mary; and his brother, Harry A. Gebhards; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Loran Gebhards is survived by 2 sons, Mark (Beth)

1Gebhards and Paul Gebhards, and 4 grandchildren, Shane 
2Gebhards, Grant Gebhards, Logan Gebhards, and Molly Gebhards; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Loran B. Gebhards; and 
7be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Loran Gebhards as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
