SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Gerald A. "Jerry" Bonnette of Pekin, who 
4passed away on November 15, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette was born on December 5, 1938 in 
6Pekin; his parents were Earl and Mary (nee Cheney) Bonnette; he 
7married Sharon Morrissey on June 27, 1959 at Sacre Coeur Church 
8in Creve Coeur; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette retired as vice president of the 
10Independent Steelworkers Alliance in 2002 after 41 years of 
11service; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette was a member of St. Joseph 
13Catholic Church in Pekin and the Sunset Hills Golf Club; he was 
14also a member of Pekin Moose Lodge 916; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette enjoyed spending time with his 
16family and pets, playing golf with his buddies, and collecting 
17miniature Christmas ornaments; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette was preceded in death by his 
19mother; and

1    WHEREAS, Gerald Bonnette is survived by his wife, Sharon; 2 
2sons, Michael Bonnette and Terry Bonnette; his father; and 2 
3stepbrothers, Gary (Carolyn) Minar and Ed (Lynnette) Minar; 
4therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Gerald A. "Jerry" 
8Bonnette; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Gerald Bonnette as an expression of 
11our sympathy.
