2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Christopher "Chris" Lockard, who passed |
4 | | away on August 17, 2014; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Christopher Lockard was born on October 3, 1946; |
6 | | and
|
7 | | WHEREAS, Christopher Lockard was a co-operator and manager |
8 | | of Carl Stirns Marine, Inc.; he was also active in bringing |
9 | | power boat racing to the Fox River; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Christopher Lockard was an avid aviator and was |
11 | | honored to serve on the Aurora Municipal Airport Advisory Board |
12 | | for 25 years; he also served on the Board of Directors of the |
13 | | Bank of Montgomery and was a member of the Exchange Club, the |
14 | | Chamber of Commerce, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots |
15 | | Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association, and the |
16 | | Quiet Birdmen; due to his military upbringing, he was a |
17 | | consummate patriot; and

18 | | WHEREAS, Christopher Lockard was preceded in death by his |
19 | | parents, Leslie and Rosebud (nee Hendley) Lockard, and a |
20 | | stepson, Kerry Kahle; and
