| 4 | | "(d) If a newborn infant fails the 2 initial hearing |
| 5 | | screenings in the hospital, then the hospital shall provide to |
| 6 | | the parents of the newborn infant information regarding: (i) |
| 7 | | birth defects caused by congenital CMV; (ii) testing |
| 8 | | opportunities and options for CMV, including the opportunity to |
| 9 | | test for CMV before leaving the hospital; and (iii) available |
| 10 | | early intervention services.".
