| 1 | | AN ACT concerning local government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Park Commissioners Land Sale Act is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 1 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (70 ILCS 1235/1) (from Ch. 105, par. 113)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 1.
Any board of park commissioners having the
control |
| 8 | | or supervision of any public park, boulevard, driveway or |
| 9 | | highway,
and having any piece or parcel of land not exceeding 3 |
| 10 | | acres in area,
which shall no longer be needed or deemed |
| 11 | | necessary or useful for the
purpose of said park, boulevard, |
| 12 | | driveway or highway may apply to the
Circuit Court of the |
| 13 | | county in which such piece or parcel of land is
situated, by |
| 14 | | petition in writing for leave to sell the same. Notice of such
|
| 15 | | application shall be given by said board of park commissioners |
| 16 | | in some
newspaper published in said county at least ten days |
| 17 | | before the day of the hearing on such application named
|
| 18 | | therein, when said application will be made. All persons |
| 19 | | interested may
appear before said Circuit Court either in |
| 20 | | person or by attorney at the hearing on such when said
|
| 21 | | application shall be made, and object to the granting thereof. |
| 22 | | After
hearing all persons interested, if said court shall deem |
| 23 | | the granting of
said application to be for the public interest, |
