| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections |
| 5 | | 10-20.56 and 34-18.49 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 10-20.56. Dual enrollment and dual credit |
| 8 | | notification. A school board shall require the school |
| 9 | | district's high schools, if any, to inform all 11th and 12th |
| 10 | | grade students of dual enrollment and dual credit opportunities |
| 11 | | at public community colleges for qualified students.
