| 3 | | 2, by replacing "Act." with "Act; and . |
| 4 | | (21) that the board may ratify and confirm actions of the |
| 5 | | members of the board taken in response to an emergency, as that |
| 6 | | term is defined in subdivision (a)(8)(iv) of this Section; that |
| 7 | | the board shall give notice to the unit owners of: (i) the |
| 8 | | occurrence of the emergency event within 7 business days after |
| 9 | | the emergency event, and (ii) the general description of the |
| 10 | | actions taken to address the event within 7 days after the |
| 11 | | emergency event. |
| 12 | | The intent of this amendatory Act of the 99th General |
| 13 | | Assembly is to empower and support boards to act in |
| 14 | | emergencies.".
