SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the State Police Merit Board for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2015, as follows:

 

General Funds                    $  767,200

Other State Funds                $3,100,000

Total                            $3,867,200

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

ARTICLE 1

 

    Section 1.  “Operational expenses” defined.  For the purposes of this Act, the term “operational expenses” includes the following items:

(a)  Personal Services;

(b)  State contributions to Social Security

(c)  Group Insurances;

(d)  Contractual Services

(e)  Travel;

(f)  Commodities;

(g)  Printing;

(h)  Equipment;

(i)  Electronic data processing;

(j)  Telecommunications services;

(k)  Operation of automotive equipment;

(l)  Refunds;

(m)  Employee retirement contributions paid by the employer;

(n)  Permanent improvements;

(o)  Deposits to other funds.

 

    Section 5.  The amount of $767,200, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Police Merit Board to meet its operational expenses for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016.

 

    Section 10.  The amount of $500,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the State Police Merit Board from the State Police Merit Board Public Safety Fund for its ordinary and contingent expenses.

 

    Section 15.  The amount of $2,600,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the State Police Merit Board from the State Police Merit Board Public Safety Fund for all costs associated with a cadet program for the Department of State Police.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2015.
