2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2933 on page 7, by |
3 | | replacing lines 1 through 10 with the following: |
4 | | " (9) There is established a 3-year pilot program that |
5 | | provides whenever the appearance in person in court is required
|
6 | | of a minor held in the Mary Davis Home Juvenile Center in |
7 | | Galesburg or in the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center |
8 | | in Benton, the court may permit the personal appearance of
the |
9 | | minor to be made by means of two-way audio-visual |
10 | | communication, including closed circuit television or
|
11 | | computerized video conference. The two-way audio-visual
|
12 | | communication facilities must provide two-way audio-visual
|
13 | | communication between the court and the place of custody or
|
14 | | confinement, and must include a secure line over which the
|
15 | | minor in custody and his or her counsel, may communicate. This |
16 | | paragraph (9) is inoperative on and after January 1, 2019. ".
