AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3251 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3251 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Permanent Noise Monitoring Act is amended  
5by adding Section 25 as follows:
 
6    (620 ILCS 35/25 new)
7    Sec. 25. Noise complaint database.
8    (a) The Department of Transportation shall adopt 
9procedures for residents of this State to report noise 
10complaints concerning airports within the State by telephone, 
11mail, electronic mail, and direct submission via the 
12Department's website. Information on how to report noise 
13complaints shall be posted on the Department's website.
14    (b) The Department shall develop and maintain a database of 
15noise complaints reported under subsection (a) of this Section. 
16On December 31 of each year the Department shall report the

1contents of this database to the Governor and the General 
2Assembly.
3    (c) The Department may adopt rules to implement this 
4Section.".
