| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 5-535 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 5/5-535) (was 20 ILCS 5/6.15)

| 7 | | Sec. 5-535. In the Department of Children and Family |
| 8 | | Services. A Children and Family Services Advisory Council of 21 |
| 9 | | 17
members, one of whom shall be a senior citizen age 60 or |
| 10 | | over, appointed
by the Governor. The Council shall advise the |
| 11 | | Department with
respect to
services and programs for children |
| 12 | | and for adults under its care. In
appointing the first Council, |
| 13 | | 8 members shall be named to serve 2 years,
and 8 members named |
| 14 | | to serve 4 years. The member first
appointed under Public Act |
| 15 | | 83-1538
shall serve for a term of 4
years. All members |
| 16 | | appointed thereafter
shall be appointed for terms of 4 years. |
| 17 | | Beginning July 1, 2015, the Advisory Council shall include as |
| 18 | | appointed members at least one youth from each of the |
| 19 | | Department's regional youth advisory boards established |
| 20 | | pursuant to Section 5 of the Department of Children and Family |
| 21 | | Services Statewide Youth Advisory Board Act and at least 2 |
| 22 | | adult former wards of the Department of Children and Family |
| 23 | | Services. At its first meeting the Council
shall select a |
