| 1 | | AN ACT concerning public aid.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 12-4.49 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (305 ILCS 5/12-4.49 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 12-4.49. Employment information; annual reports. |
| 8 | | Beginning July 1, 2016, the Department shall annually compile |
| 9 | | data on the employment information provided by all applicants |
| 10 | | in their application for benefits under the federal |
| 11 | | Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or the |
| 12 | | medical assistance program under Article V and shall annually |
| 13 | | submit a report on such data and employment information to the |
| 14 | | General Assembly. The names of all applicants shall be kept |
| 15 | | confidential and shall not be disclosed in the annual reports |
| 16 | | submitted to the General Assembly.

| 17 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, |
| 18 | | 2016.
