| 4 | | "Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 12.10 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 12.10. Study on closed elementary and secondary school |
| 8 | | buildings. The Capital Development Board shall conduct a study |
| 9 | | with regard to public elementary and secondary school buildings |
| 10 | | that have been closed within 5 years before the effective date |
| 11 | | of this amendatory Act of the 99th General Assembly. The study |
| 12 | | shall determine how many of the school buildings have remained |
| 13 | | schools, how many have been successfully redeveloped, and how |
| 14 | | many are vacant. The Capital Development Board shall report its |
| 15 | | findings and recommendations for facilitating successful |
| 16 | | redevelopment of these school buildings to the General Assembly |
