| 4 | | "Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 | | 2.5a as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 2.5a. Youth crossbow use. An individual with a youth |
| 8 | | hunting license may use a crossbow during the first week of the |
| 9 | | regular deer archery season annually determined by the |
| 10 | | Director, provided that the individual remains under the direct |
| 11 | | supervision of an adult of 21 years of age or older who |
| 12 | | possesses a valid archery deer permit. |
| 13 | | Youths authorized to take deer with a crossbow as provided |
| 14 | | in this Section shall first obtain a "Deer Hunting Permit" |
| 15 | | issued by the Department in accordance with its administrative |
| 16 | | rules and with the express permission of an adult of 21 years |
