AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3784 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3784 on page 3, by 
3replacing lines 9 through 20 with the following:


 
4        "(6) One representative from a statewide human rights 
5    and civil liberties organization appointed by the 
6    Governor.
7        (7) One representative from a statewide immigrant and 
8    refugee rights organization appointed by the Governor.
9        (8) One representative from a national civil rights 
10    organization dedicated to economic empowerment in order to 
11    elevate the standard of living in historically underserved 
12    urban communities appointed by the Governor.
13        (9) One representative from a national association 
14    dedicated to ensuring equal rights without discrimination 
15    based on race appointed by the Governor.
16        (10) One representative from a multi-racial, 
17    multi-issue, progressive, international membership

2        (11) One representative from a statewide organization 
3    committed to promoting health, wealth, opportunity, and 
4    equity for Latinos across the State appointed by the 
5    Governor.

7the Independent Commission on Law Enforcement in carrying out 
8its functions and responsibilities by providing administrative 
9and staff support.".
