Amends the Housing Authorities Act. Provides that no housing authority shall initiate an eviction action against a tenant for past due rent, if the amount owed is equal to one month's rent or is less than the amount required to file an eviction action in a court having jurisdiction over the matter, whichever is greater.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Housing Authorities Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 25.06 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 25.06. Eviction action prohibition. No housing |
