1 | | person to apply for licensure in that state; |
2 | | (2) the person qualifies to apply for licensure under |
3 | | Section 6-208; |
4 | | (3) the out-of-state revocation is the only revocation |
5 | | of driving privileges for the person; |
6 | | (4) the person has not had any driving offenses since |
7 | | the revocation, and the revocation is the only loss of the |
8 | | person's driving privileges in any jurisdiction; and |
9 | | (5) the person complies with the requirements of Title |
10 | | 92, Sections 1001.430 and 1001.440 of the Illinois |
11 | | Administrative Code concerning the General Provisions for |
12 | | Reinstatement of Driving Privileges After Revocation and |
13 | | the Provisions for Alcohol and Drug Related Revocations, |
14 | | Suspensions, and Cancellations . |
15 | | (b) The Secretary may issue restricted driving permits to |
16 | | new residents whose driving privileges are revoked in another |
17 | | state. These permits must be issued according to the |
18 | | restrictions, and for the purposes, stated in Sections 6-205 |
19 | | and 6-206 of this Code. The Secretary shall adopt rules for the |
20 | | issuance of these permits. |
21 | | (c) A restricted driving permit issued under this Section |
22 | | is subject to cancellation, revocation, and suspension by the |
23 | | Secretary of State in the same manner and for the same causes |
24 | | as a driver's license issued under this Code may be cancelled, |
25 | | revoked, or suspended, except that a conviction of one or more |
26 | | offenses against laws or ordinances regulating the movement of |
