1 | AN ACT concerning land.
| ||||||
2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||||
4 | Article 5. | ||||||
5 | Conveyance to the City of Streator | ||||||
6 | Section 5-5. The Adjutant General, on behalf of the State | ||||||
7 | of Illinois and the Department of Military
Affairs, is | ||||||
8 | authorized to convey by Quitclaim Deed all right, title, and | ||||||
9 | interest of the State of Illinois
and the Department of | ||||||
10 | Military Affairs in and to the real estate described in Section | ||||||
11 | 5-10 to the City
of Streator, subject to the conditions and | ||||||
12 | restriction described in Section 5-15.

13 | Section 5-10. The Adjutant General is authorized to convey | ||||||
14 | the following described real property: | ||||||
15 | The West 250 feet (as measured on the South line of Bridge | ||||||
16 | Street) of the following described
tract: That part of the | ||||||
17 | Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 35, | ||||||
18 | Township 3
North, Range 3 East of the Third Principal | ||||||
19 | Meridian, which lies East of Block 3 in Jackson's
Addition | ||||||
20 | to the Town (now City) of Streator, South of Bridge Street, | ||||||
21 | West and North of the
Vermillion River; all of said | ||||||
22 | property being situated in LaSalle County, Illinois.

1 | Section 5-15. The Adjutant General shall not convey the | ||||||
2 | real property described in Section 5-10 to
the City of Streator | ||||||
3 | until the Adjutant General determines that the property is no | ||||||
4 | longer required
for military purposes. Conveyance of the above | ||||||
5 | real property will be in an "as is" condition,
subject to the | ||||||
6 | Historic Preservation Covenant on the armory buildings as | ||||||
7 | approved by the Illinois
Historic Preservation Agency, and the | ||||||
8 | City of Streator will pay all required costs and expenses of
| ||||||
9 | the conveyance, as determined by the Adjutant General. The | ||||||
10 | Quitclaim Deed shall state on its face and be subject to the | ||||||
11 | condition that if the property is no longer used for public | ||||||
12 | purposes, then title shall revert without further action to the | ||||||
13 | State of Illinois.

14 | Section 5-20. The Adjutant General shall obtain a certified | ||||||
15 | copy of this Act from the Secretary of
State within 60 days | ||||||
16 | after its effective date and, upon conveyance of the real | ||||||
17 | estate described in
Section 5-10 being made, shall cause the | ||||||
18 | certified copy of this Act to be recorded in the office of
the | ||||||
19 | Recorder of LaSalle County.

20 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
21 | becoming law.
