Amends the Community College Districts Article of the Public Community College Act. Provides that any severance package approved by the board of trustees of a community college district after the effective date of this amendatory Act for a district employee is limited to one year of salary and one year of benefits for that employee. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Public Community College Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 3-29.8 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (110 ILCS 805/3-29.8) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3-29.8. Administrator and faculty salary and |
| 8 | | benefits; report. Each board of trustees shall report to the |
| 9 | | Board of Higher Education, on or before July 1 of each year, |
| 10 | | the base salary and benefits of the president or chief |
| 11 | | executive officer of the community college and all |
| 12 | | administrators, faculty members, and instructors employed by |
| 13 | | the community college district. For the purposes of this |
| 14 | | Section, "benefits" includes without limitation vacation days, |
| 15 | | sick days, bonuses, annuities, and retirement enhancements. |
| 16 | | Any severance package approved by the board of trustees for |
| 17 | | an employee of the community college district after the |
| 18 | | effective date of this amendatory Act of the 99th General |
| 19 | | Assembly is limited to one year of salary and one year of |
| 20 | | benefits for that employee.
