| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Human Services Act is amended |
| 5 | | by adding Section 10-13 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 1305/10-13 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 10-13. Autism Spectrum Disorder wallet card. |
| 8 | | (a) Upon the request of a person medically diagnosed with |
| 9 | | autism spectrum disorder, or the guardian or custodian of the |
| 10 | | person, the Department shall issue an Autism Spectrum Disorder |
| 11 | | wallet card that specifies that the cardholder has been |
| 12 | | medically diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. |
| 13 | | (b) The Department shall establish, by rule, the proof |
| 14 | | required in order to obtain an Autism Spectrum Disorder wallet |
| 15 | | card under subsection (a), and the process for administration |
| 16 | | of the card. The Department may collect a reasonable fee for |
| 17 | | the issuance of the card under subsection (a) not to exceed |
| 18 | | $10. |
| 19 | | (c) The provisions of this Section shall be implemented no |
| 20 | | later than 6 months after the effective date of this amendatory |
| 21 | | Act of the 99th General Assembly.
