AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4645 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4645 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
 
4    "Section 5. The Illinois Conservation Foundation Act is 
5amended  by adding Section 25 as follows:
 
6    (20 ILCS 880/25 new)
7    Sec. 25. Terms. Notwithstanding any provision of this Act 
8to the contrary, the term of office of each member
of the Board 
9of Directors serving on the day before the effective date of 
10this amendatory Act of the 99th
General Assembly is abolished 
11on the date upon which members of the 12-member board have been

12appointed and can begin to take action as a board. Members of 
13the Board of Directors serving on the day
before the effective 
14date of this amendatory Act of the 99th General Assembly may be 
15reappointed to
the 12-member board.
16    Of those 12 members initially appointed following the

1effective date of this amendatory Act of the 99th
General 
2Assembly, 4 shall serve for terms expiring July 1, 2017, 4 
3shall serve for terms expiring July 1,
2018, and 4 shall serve 
4for terms expiring July 1, 2019. Thereafter, each appointed 
5member shall hold
office for a term of 4 years, provided that 
6any member appointed to fill a vacancy occurring before the

7expiration of the term for which his or her predecessor was 
8appointed shall be appointed for the
remainder of that term and 
9the term of office of each successor shall begin on July 1 of 
10the year in
which his or her predecessor's term expires. Each 
11member appointed after the effective date of this
amendatory 
12Act of the 99th General Assembly shall hold office until his or 
13her successor is appointed
and qualified.".
