2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Department of State Police Law of the

6 | | 2605-300 as follows:

following:

10 | | (1) Be a central repository and custodian of criminal

11 | | statistics for the State.

12 | | (2) Be a central repository for criminal history
record |
13 | | information.

14 | | (3) Procure and file for record information that is
|
15 | | necessary and helpful to plan programs of crime prevention, |
16 | | law
enforcement,
and criminal justice.
|
17 | | (4) Procure and file for record copies of
fingerprints |
18 | | that may be required by law.
|
19 | | (5) Establish general and field
crime laboratories.
|

may |
21 | | be required by law for the issuance of firearm owner's |
22 | | identification
cards under the Firearm Owners |
23 | | Identification Card Act and concealed carry licenses under |
