Appropriates $70,297,217 to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs for the Veterans’ Home at Chicago.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
“ARTICLE 1
Section 5. The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary and remain unexpended at the close of business on June 30, 2015, from reappropriations heretofore made for such purposes in Article 14, Section 130 of Public Act 98-0675, are reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund to the Capital Development Board for the Department of Veterans' Affairs for the projects hereinafter enumerated:
STATEWIDE
For the construction of a 200-bed
veterans’ home facility, in addition
to funds previously appropriated............ 48,500,000
For planning and beginning the
construction of a skilled care
veterans’ home facility...................... 2,000,000
For the construction of a 200-bed
veterans’ home facility, in addition
to funds previously appropriated............ 10,366,317
Total $60,866,317
Section 10. The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary and remain unexpended at the close of business on June 30, 2015, from appropriations and reappropriations heretofore made for such purposes in Article 14, Section 145 of Public Act 98-0675, are reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund to the Capital Development Board for the projects hereinafter enumerated:
For escalation costs for the construction
of a 200-bed veterans’ home facility, in addition
to funds previously appropriated.............. 5,000,000
Section 15. The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated to the Department of Veterans' Affairs for the objects and purposes hereinafter named:

ARTICLE 998
Section 998. The appropriation authority in this Act shall be valid only for costs incurred July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.
ARTICLE 999
Section 999. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.”.
