2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Department of Agriculture Law of the Civil |
5 | | Administrative
Code of Illinois is amended by changing Section |
6 | | 205-15 as follows:
|
7 | | (20 ILCS 205/205-15) (was 20 ILCS 205/40.7 and 205/40.8)

8 | | Sec. 205-15. Promotional activities.
|
9 | | (a) The Department has the power to encourage and promote, |
10 | | in every
practicable manner,
the interests of agriculture, |
11 | | including horticulture, the livestock
industry, dairying, |
12 | | cheese making, poultry, bee keeping, forestry, the
production |
13 | | of wool, and all other allied industries. In furtherance of
the |
14 | | duties set forth in this subsection (a), the Department may
|
15 | | establish trust
funds and bank accounts in adequately protected |
16 | | financial institutions
to receive and disburse monies in |
17 | | connection with the conduct of food
shows, food expositions, |
18 | | trade shows, and other promotional activities and
to
sell
at |
19 | | cost, to qualified applicants, signs designating farms that
|
20 | | have been
owned for 100
years
or more ,
or 150 years or more , or |
21 | | 200 years or more
by lineal or collateral descendants of the |
22 | | same family as
"Centennial Farms" , or "Sesquicentennial |
23 | | Farms", or "Bicentennial Farms" respectively. The
