| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The State Forest Act is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 2 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 2.
State forests shall include only such lands as are |
| 8 | | decided by the
the
Department of Natural Resources to be more |
| 9 | | valuable for
the growing of forests
than for other purposes, |
| 10 | | and shall have for their purpose the production of
forest |
| 11 | | products, the protection of watersheds that are subject to |
| 12 | | serious
erosion, the maintenance of purity of springs and |
| 13 | | streams and to afford
recreation places for the people of the |
| 14 | | State. |
