AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5995 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5995 on page 1, 
3immediately below line 3, by inserting the following:


 
4    "Section 1. This Act may be referred to as Draco's Law"; 
5and
 
6on page 1, by replacing line 9 with the following:
7"prohibited.
8    (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully"; and
 
9on page 1, line 21, by replacing "Section" with "subsection 
10Section"; and
 
11on page 2, line 2, by replacing "A" with the following:
12    "(b) A"; and
 
13on page 2, line 12, by replacing "If" with the following:

1    "(c) If"; and
 
2on page 2, immediately below line 16, by inserting the 
3following:
4    "(d) A person is not in violation of this Section if the 
5animal  used by a law enforcement department or agency was used 
6against the person in violation of the law enforcement 
7department or agency's use of force continuum or policy.".
