| 1 | | AN ACT concerning transportation.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 16-106.4 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (625 ILCS 5/16-106.4 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 16-106.4. Dismissal of Uniform Citation and Complaint |
| 8 | | form, conservation complaint. Failure to complete and transmit |
| 9 | | the Uniform Citation and Complaint form or conservation |
| 10 | | complaint to the clerk of court of the circuit court in which |
| 11 | | the violation occurred within 48 hours of arrest, so long as |
| 12 | | the Uniform Citation and Complaint form or conservation |
| 13 | | complaint are transmitted to clerk of court within 7 business |
| 14 | | days, shall not be the sole grounds for dismissal of the case.
