Amends the Unemployment Insurance Act. In a provision concerning the maximum total amount of unemployment benefits, provides that with respect to any benefit year beginning on or after December 1, 2015 and prior to the effective date of the amendatory Act, any otherwise eligible individual whose total or partial unemployment is attributable to his or her employer's temporary idling of a steelmaking facility shall be entitled, during such benefit year, to a maximum total amount of benefits equal to 52 times his or her weekly benefit amount plus dependents' allowances, or to the total wages for insured work paid to such individual during the individual's base period, whichever amount is smaller. Effective immediately.

4 | | Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by |
5 | | changing Section 403 as follows:

7 | | Sec. 403. Maximum total amount of benefits. |
8 | | A. With respect to
any benefit year beginning prior to |
9 | | September 30, 1979, any otherwise eligible
individual shall be |
10 | | entitled, during such benefit year, to a maximum
total amount |
11 | | of benefits as shall be determined in the manner set forth
in |
12 | | this Act as amended and in effect on November 9, 1977.

13 | | B. With respect to any benefit year beginning on or after |
14 | | September 30,
1979, except as otherwise provided in this |
15 | | Section, any otherwise eligible individual shall be entitled, |
16 | | during such benefit
year, to a maximum total amount of benefits |
17 | | equal to 26 times his or her weekly
benefit amount plus |
18 | | dependents' allowances, or to the total wages for insured
work |
19 | | paid to such individual during the individual's base period, |
20 | | whichever
amount is smaller. With respect to any benefit year |
21 | | beginning in calendar year 2012, any otherwise eligible |
