AMENDMENT TO HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 36

AMENDMENT NO. ___. Amend House Joint Resolution 36 as follows:

on page 3, lines 15 through 17, by deleting "the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Illinois, or his or her designee; (6)"; and

on page 3, lines 20 through 21, by deleting "appointed by the Speaker of the House and President of the Senate; (7)" and inserting "appointed by the State Superintendent of Education; (6)"; and

on page 3, line 25, through page 4, line 1, by deleting "appointed by the Minority Leader of the Senate and the Minority Leader of the House; (8)" and inserting "appointed by the State Superintendent of Education; (7)"; and

on page 4, line 4, by deleting "(9)" and inserting "(8)"; and

on page 4, line 7, by inserting immediately before the semicolon "appointed by the State Superintendent of Education"; and

on page 4, line 8, by deleting "(10)" and inserting "(9)"; and

on page 4, line 11, by inserting immediately before the semicolon "appointed by the State Superintendent of Education"; and

on page 4, line 12, by deleting "(11)" and inserting "(10)"; and

on page 4, line 15, by deleting "(12)" and inserting "(11)"; and

on page 4, line 16, by inserting immediately after the semicolon "and (12) the Executive Director of the Illinois Community College Board or his or her designee;"; and

on page 4, in between lines 16 and 17, by inserting the following:

"RESOLVED, That the Bilingual Advisory Task Force shall first meet at the call of the State Superintendent of Education and following meetings shall meet at the call of the Co-Chairs; and be it further

RESOLVED, A quorum of the Bilingual Advisory Task Force shall consist of a majority of the members of the Bilingual Advisory Task Force; and be it further".
