HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Richard
4L. "Rich" Hampton of Virden, who passed away on November 29,
52014; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Richard Hampton was born in Jacksonville on May
731, 1949; he married Joan L. Centko on August 17, 1973 in
8Virden; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Richard Hampton served in the United States Air
10Force for much of his life; he retired from the Air National
11Guard as a 1st Master Sergeant in 2004, after 31 years of
12service; upon his retirement, he worked as a paramedic in the
13surrounding communities with Boyd Healthcare Services and
14Greene County Ambulance Service; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Richard Hampton enjoyed hunting, fishing, and
16spending time with his family; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Richard Hampton was preceded in death by his
18parents; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Richard Hampton is survived by his wife, Joan; his
20son, Eric A. (Julie Williamson) Hampton; his granddaughters,

1Aby E., Karleigh I., and Clayre N. Hampton; his sister, Dorothy
2(Joseph) Chalmers; his brother, Leonard (Marsha) Hampton; and
3several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
5NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
6mourn the passing of Richard L. "Rich" Hampton, and extend our
7sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
8and loved him; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Richard Hampton as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
