HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Demontae 
4S. "Montae" Rhodes of Rockford, who passed away on December 21, 
52014; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Demontae Rhodes was born in Rockford on March 1, 
71990 to Calvin and Tiffney Rhodes; he attended Auburn High 
8School; he later earned his G.E.D. and took college courses; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Demontae Rhodes was part owner and operator of R&R 
11Rhodes Enterprises, Inc. for 7 years; he was also a boxer with 
12the Pat Cat Boxing Club; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Demontae Rhodes was a member of Rockford First 
14church; and
 
15    WHEREAS, The love of Demontae Rhodes' life was Martia 
16Flint; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Demontae Rhodes was preceded in death by his 
18maternal grandfather, John Hubert Jamisonl, and his paternal 
19grandfather, Ardell Woodard; and

1    WHEREAS, Demontae Rhodes is survived by his parents; his 
2sister, Asha Rhodes; his paternal grandmother, Vernola 
3Woodard; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Franklin; his 
4paternal grandfather, Jesse Rhodes; his paternal 
5great-grandfather, Norman Rhodes; and a host of aunts, uncles, 
6other relatives, and friends, including special friend, 
7DeAngelo "Low" Matlouck; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
10mourn the passing of Demontae S. "Montae" Rhodes, and extend 
11our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who 
12knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to the family of Demontae Rhodes as an expression of 
15our deepest sympathy.
