HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Martia 
4Unique Flint of Rockford, who passed away on December 21, 2014; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Martia Flint was born in Rockford on July 13, 1990 
7to Rolanda Collins and Martez Flint; she attended Auburn High 
8School and received her G.E.D. from Rock Valley College; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Martia Flint worked as a Certified Dental 
10Assistant at Dental Dreams; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Martia Flint was a member of Rockford First 
12church; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Martia Flint was mother to Tobias and Tyrone 
14Smith, III; the love of her life was Demontae Rhodes; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Martia Flint is survived by her parents, Rolanda 
16Collins and Martez Flint; a host of brothers and sisters; her 
17maternal grandmother, Margrette Ferguson; her maternal 
18grandfather, Leonard Fricks, Jr.; her paternal grandmother, 
19Jessie Flint-Parham; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, 
20other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3mourn the passing of Martia Unique Flint, and extend our 
4sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew 
5and loved her; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Martia Flint as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
