HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Southeast 
4Environmental Task Force  (SETF) on the occasion of  the 25th 
5anniversary of its founding; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, SETF was founded in 1989 to stop a garbage 
7incinerator from being built on the Southeast Side of Chicago; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, SETF was incorporated in 1994 and has since become 
10a leading organization dedicated to contaminated wetland 
11restoration and ecologically sustainable brownfield 
12redevelopment and to promote pollution reduction investments 
13in communities and waterways; and
  
 
  
14    WHEREAS, SETF continues to function on a voluntary basis to 
15fight environmentally destructive land use; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, SETF will be celebrating its anniversary with a 
17banquet on January 24, 2015; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
19NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
20congratulate the Southwest Environmental Task Force on its 25th

1anniversary, and wish them many more years of success; and be 
2it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the SETF as an expression of our esteem and 
5respect.
