HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of  Tim 
4Stetenfeld; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld was an award-winning financial 
6advisor with the Plainfield office of Edward Jones Investments, 
7the household-oriented retirement planning and investment 
8services firm, from 2004 to 2015; he was a recipient of the 
9Ovation to Business Award from former Illinois State 
10Representative Tom Cross and his Business Advisory Committee in 
11June of 2012; Mr. Stetenfeld and Edward Jones Investments were 
12also the presenters of Plainfield's Concerts in the Park, the 
13free music and concert program at Settlers Park in Plainfield; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld was a board member and past 
16chairman of the board of the Plainfield Area Chamber of 
17Commerce; he also served as chairperson of the Plainfield 
18Advisory Task Force on Economic Development, which advises the 
19Village of Plainfield on growth and planning issues; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld was a fundraising organizer and 
21co-chairman of the Greater Joliet Area YMCA's Giving Gala, a 
22Will County-oriented annual community event that provides help

1for persons and families seeking financial access to local YMCA 
2programs; the 2014 Giving Gala, co-led by Mr. Stetenfeld, 
3notched a 37% increase in proceeds from the 2013 Gala; the next 
4Giving Gala is scheduled for February 28, 2015, at the 
5Bolingbrook Golf Club; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld served as president of the 
7Plainfield Kiwanis Club in 2008; he was also a senior member of 
8the Plainfield Rotary Club and a parishioner and Eucharistic 
9minister at St. Mary Immaculate Parish in Plainfield; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld is survived by his wife, Cathy 
11Stetenfeld; his mother, Arlene Stetenfeld; and 2 siblings, 
12Ernie Stetenfeld, III and Sandi Stetenfeld Diana; therefore, be 
13it
  
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
15NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
16we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Tim 
17Stetenfeld; and be it further
  
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
19presented to the family of Tim Stetenfeld as an expression of 
20our sympathy.
