HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Inez Cowsert on the 
4occasion of her 100th birthday on March 19, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Inez Cowsert was born in Hardin County on March 
619, 1915 to Raymond and Junie Vaught; she grew up in Gibsona 
7and attended Pisgah School; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Inez Cowsert married Herbert Cowsert on January 
915, 1936; they settled in the Saline Mines area
in Gallatin 
10County and had 3 children, Shirley
Sue, Herbert V., and Gerald 
11Jerome; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Inez and her husband lived on a farm and raised 
13corn, beans, cattle, and hogs; they were active in the

14Presbyterian Church and social events of the community until 
15his passing in 1964; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Inez Cowsert moved to Eldorado were she spent time 
17in her garden and yard taking care of her
flowers; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, In 1974, Inez Cowsert's granddaughter, Jana, was 
19born, and, in 1977, another granddaughter, Jaclyn, was born; 
20she spent time watching and caring for them while their
mother

1and father worked; and
 
2    WHEREAS, In July of 2011, Inez Cowsert moved to the 
3Fountain View Care Home, where she enjoys watching Tv and 
4reading; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7congratulate Inez Cowsert on the occasion of her 100th birthday 
8on March 19, 2015 and wish her many more wonderful years; and 
9be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Inez Cowsert as an expression of our esteem and 
12respect.
