HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of

3Representatives wish to congratulate the Moweaqua Central A&M

4Raiders
on winning the 2015 Illinois High School Association 
5Girls Basketball 1A State Championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The State of Illinois is fortunate to have many 
7outstanding high school students and programs that earn State 
8recognition, but none have achieved as much distinction as the 
9Moweaqua Central A&M Raiders; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The Raiders are the current defending
girls 1A 
11basketball State champions, after previously finishing
4th at 
12State in 2014 and 3rd in 2008; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The Raiders finished the season
with
a record of 
1433 wins and 1 loss; they won the Pana Tournament,
the Macon 
15County Tournament, the Central Illinois Conference Tournament,

16the regional tournament, the sectional tournament, and the 
17super-sectional tournament; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Leading the 2015 championship team were Taylor

19Jordan, Kaley Hennings, Kayla Gibson, Morgan Damery, Jorji

20Sparrgrove, Ryan Dooley, Mikah Maples, Abigail Hiton, Shelby 
21Dailey, Olivia Jordan, Kaylan Schinzler, Kaylee Collins, Gabby

1Cole, Katie Conlin, Taryn Sams, and Manager Abbie Collins; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, The Raiders are skillfully coached by Head Coach, 
3Tom Dooley, and Assistant Coaches, Todd Rork and Mike
Garner; 
4therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

7join the many friends and fans of the Moweaaua Central A&M 
8Raiders
in congratulating them
for winning the 2015 Girls 1A 
9Basketball State Championship
and we wish them continued 
10success and
a repeat championship in 2016; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

12presented to the Raiders as an expression of our
esteem
and 
13respect.
