HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Eziekel Elliott on 
4winning the 2015 College Football National Championship with 
5the Ohio State Buckeyes; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott played running back for Ohio State 
7University; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott rushed for 220 yards and scored 2 
9touchdowns against Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game; 
10and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott helped Ohio State University win 
12the 2015 Sugar Bowl with 230 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns; he 
13was named the game's Most Valuable Offensive Player; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott led Ohio State University to its 
15first College Football National Championship with 246 yards 
16rushing and 4 touchdowns and was named the game's Most Valuable 
17Player on Offense; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott was born and raised in Alton to 
19parents Stacey and Dawn Elliott; he attended elementary school 
20in Alton and John Burroughs School in St. Louis, where he

1participated in football, basketball, and track and helped John 
2Burroughs reach 2 championship games; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5congratulate Eziekel Elliott on winning the 2015 College 
6Football National Championship with the Ohio State Buckeyes; 
7and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Eziekel Elliott as an expression of our esteem and 
10respect.
