HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Spirit of Life Chorus 
4on the occasion of its 25th anniversary; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, The Spirit of  Life Chorus is a 75+ member 
6ecumenical Christian concert chorus performing in church 
7sanctuaries and auditoriums throughout the northern Illinois 
8area; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The Spirit of  Life Chorus was formed in the fall 
10of 1989 with 17 charter members; it has grown to over 75 
11singers and musicians; the first concert was held on February 
1210, 1990 in Trinity's Heritage Center; over 300 singers have 
13participated with the chorus since its beginning; it has 
14already performed a total of 372 concerts in 108 churches, 
15participated in a number of Roselle's 4th of July concerts, and 
16sung at a variety of private functions and events; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, The Spirit of  Life Chorus performs dynamic 
18concerts with strong emotional appeal that comes from the heart 
19of each member; and
  
 
  
20    WHEREAS, The Spirit of  Life Chorus will be celebrating its 
21anniversary with a free concert at Immanuel Lutheran Church in

1Des Plaines on March 22, 2015; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4wish to congratulate the Spirit of Life Chorus on its 25th 
5anniversary and wish them many more wonderful years; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the Spirit of Life Chorus as an expression of our 
9esteem and respect.
