HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Joseph Cook on the
4occasion of his retirement as the Village President of
5Channahon; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Joseph Cook is a lifelong Channahon resident; he
7is an avid outdoorsman and a Channahon historian; his true
8passion is public service, which he has been involved with for
9nearly 20 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joseph Cook was first elected in 2003 and is
11currently serving his third term as Channahon's Village
12President; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Joseph Cook has always had the biggest heart and
14deepest love for the Channahon community; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Joseph Cook has the utmost respect and honor for
16his father who passed away but still serves as his hero, idol,
17and inspiration to this day; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Joseph Cook is a phenomenal hunter, avid
19fisherman, good chef, and a very talented carpenter; he enjoys
20using his versatile set of talents to help out his friends, but

1most of all his mother; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Joseph Cook is a huge supporter of charities
3including Boy Scouts, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, March of
4Dimes, St. Baldrick's, and many more philanthropic
5organizations; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Joseph Cook's service reaches far beyond the
7office of Village President to many organization's boards; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Joseph Cook is the owner and President of Jaeger
9Enterprises, a commercial and industrial consulting firm; the
10immediate past President of the Will County Governmental
11League; an Executive Board Member for WESCOM 911 Call Center;
12past Chairman of the Chicago Metropolitan Mayor's Caucus;
13Second Vice-President of the Illinois Municipal League; member
14of the Will County Center for Economic Development Board of
15Directors; member of the Grundy County Economic Development
16Executive Board; past President of the Channahon Area Arts
17Community Council; past Chairman of the Will County Storm Water
18Management and Planning Committee; Chairman of the Aux Sable
19TIF Review Board; and a member of the Boy Scouts of America
20Executive Board; therefore, be it
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

1thank Channahon Village President Joseph Cook for his many
2years of service, congratulate him on the occasion of his
3retirement, and wish him all the best in his future endeavors;
4and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

7congratulations and appreciation for a job well done.
